Wenyan Deng
Wenyan is a senior majoring in international relations with a minor in history.

She studied abroad at The University of Cambridge (Pembroke College) in her junior year, focusing on international security and peace keeping. Her thesis analyzes the diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the United States during the Cold War, with implications for Sino-U.S. relations today. In the summer of 2014, Wenyan worked as an intern at American Broadcasting Company, Beijing Bureau, where she wrote news stories and conducted interviews with academics and government officials. On campus, Wenyan is president of International Relations Council, an editor for The Wellesley News, and a tutor in the Astronomy Department. She has a native proficiency in Chinese. Wenyan’s goal after graduation is to continue her research at an academic institution or international organization.
