Purpose of our
new website
Our website is designed to add
fun to our class communications between now and our 50th reunion.
In case you are having trouble putting names to faces and vice
versa, the website offers a reintroduction to some of your
classmates. In addition, there will be artwork and photographs
by our classmates, sound clips of their music and, of course, Smitty's wonderful bears serving as our class
mascots.
You are encouraged to use this
website to refresh your memories of our classmates and to communicate with
one another. The treasure we found
in our classmates during college is
still there to be tapped.
New in this update:
Featured Classmates If you've been wondering whatever happened
to BJ Diener, Carmel Clay Thompson,
Mary Althouse Eikel, or Helen Strieder, this is your chance to find out. I hope all of you will be willing to share
current photos and stories of yourselves when asked.
Artwork
This time our featured artist is Leila McConnell Daw, who
has received significant recognition in the art world. We
can be very proud of her.

featured photographer is Virginia Greer Bonesteel, who
shoots Wellesley with poetic vision.
Music For the first time,
we are featuring a musician, Ellen
Cantarow, our talented keyboard artist. Listen to
a sound clip from one of the CD's Ellen has produced.
Events
There's a first letter from Sally Rial Phelps, our
newly appointed Chair of 50th Reunion, . In addition,
there are photos and rave reviews of some recent mini-reunions.
If you attended the mini-reunions in Washington DC, New York
City, or Cincinnati, you may see photos of yourself.
Memorials We have lost one more member of our
class, Gayle Ford Whittenberg. In addition, a final
memorial service for Annie "Smitty" Smith was held at her beloved lakeside
home, which has been donated appropriately for use as an art
center.
Contacts
This update features photos of our officers now and then. They are a genuinely nice group of
people, who work hard to support our class. You'll find
that taking advantage of opportunities to work with them is a pleasure. See if you can recognize them.
