The Parents Fund
As a parent, you’ve seen Wellesley’s success in helping your daughter develop discipline, confidence, and a penchant for intellectual and professional achievement. Your gift to the Parent’s Fund helps make this possible.
The fact is: your gift really does matter. Tuition covers only 43 percent of the actual cost of a Wellesley education. The remainder, more than $37,000 per student, comes from endowment income and annual gifts from generous parents, alumnae, and friends.
Make a gift to The Parents Fund
If you believe in Wellesley’s mission and long-term impact on your daughter, we hope you will join the many other parents of students and alumnae in making a gift to the Wellesley College Parents Fund. Remember, gifts of all sizes make a difference—and payments can be scheduled in monthly increments.

Join the Parents Fund Council
We encourage you to join this group of dedicated volunteers. Council members help develop fundraising strategies and participate in outreach efforts, raising gifts to support Wellesley’s mission. Volunteers “meet” each other and receive training via a conference call, then phone fellow parents twice a year, in fall and spring. Parents who give $2,500 or more become Council members and receive benefits such as:
- Invitations to special events during Family and Friends Weekend/Homecoming and throughout the year
- Recognition on Parents Fund appeal letters and related materials
- Special communications, including monthly e-updates and conference calls
- Reserved seating at select College events throughout the year
