Requirements for the Architecture Major

Checklist for the Architecture major

For students entering in the fall of 2011 or later*: 

A. ARTH 100 and 101 (Introduction to the History of Art, Part I &II). 

B. ARTS 105 (Drawing I) and ARTS 113 (Three dimensional Design)

C. ARTH 200 or ARTH 228, or ARTS 216 

D. Two intermediate courses in architectural history, studio art, or architectural design. At least one of these units must be taken at Wellesley. 

E. Two advanced courses in architectural history, studio art, or architectural design (300 level) 

F. Two additional courses related to architecture 

*Majors who entered before the fall of 2011 are required to take ARTH 100 / 101 and ARTS 105; at least four units of intermediate level course work (two must be taken at Wellesley); two 300-level units of course work (at least one in the Department of Art); and two additional courses related to architecture.
