Fionn Meade, Independent Curator, Writer and Filmmaker,
formerly of the Sculpture Center and Artists' Space in NYC
will be giving a lecture on Thursday October 4th from 1:30-3pm in Jewett 457.
Fionn Meade is a curator and writer based in New York. He has most recently been Curator at SculptureCenter, NY, where exhibitions include Scene, Hold, Ballast, with David Maljkovic and Lucy Skaer, and such group exhibitions as Knight’s Move, a survey of new sculpture in New York, as well as the exhibitions Time Again and Leopards in the Temple. He has previously been a curator at the Henry Art Gallery, University of Washington, and worked with Tom Eccles on Rachel Harrison: Consider the Lobster, and Maria Lind on The Greenroom: Reconsidering the Documentary and Contemporary Art at the Hessel Museum of Art and CCS Bard Galleries. His writing has appeared inArtforum, Parkett, Mousse Magazine, Bomb Magazine, Bidoun, Modern Painters, Spike Quarterly, andParkett, among other publications, and he was the recipient of an Arts Writer Grant from Creative Capital and the Andy Warhol Foundation. He teaches in the MFA Program for Visual Arts, Columbia University, and the the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
