Independent scholar and artist. Visual art and writing are focused on African Diaspora identities and representations.
My research and writing focuses on African American art and artists for both scholarly and general readership publications. I curate exhibitions and edit pendant catalogs. I am particularly interested in Modern and Contemporary arts of the United States and Africa and photography. Currently I am expanding my studio practice beyond painting to include assemblage. Other interests include world travel, swimming, and dancing.
