Please check the websites of the museums before visiting to see when and if they are open. Museum admission policies and procedures may be changing on a frequent basis. Make sure to abide by all Wellesley College travel policies when visiting museums.

 

Museum Memberships

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston

This membership allows free admission to currently enrolled Wellesley College students, and current employed Wellesley College faculty and staff; contact Samara Pearlstein (spearls2@wellesley.edu) during regular business hours for the code to reserve your free ticket.

Other benefits of membership include:

*Discounts on staff-led gallery tours for classes ($35 per 15-person group, instead of $150.  Advance registration is required, at least four weeks in advance, by filling out their on-line form).
*Free self-guided group tours for classes (advance registration is required, at least four weeks in advance, by filling out their on-line form). NOTE: the Gardner may not be offering group tours during the pandemic. Please check before planning a class visit.
*Free tickets to public programs, including Third Thursdays and lectures (advance registration is required).
*$10 off Individual and Friend levels of membership
*$15 off concert tickets for Wellesley students

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Wellesley students, faculty, and staff are able to get into the MFA for free with their Wellesley ID. Tickets for university members are available same-day only and on-site when you show your Wellesley ID at the ticket desk.

Students (with proper identification) are also offered $5 tickets to regularly priced films showing at the MFA when purchased in person on the day of the screening, and can receive a 10% discount on purchases made in the Museum Shops. There may be a $7 charge for special exhibits even with a University membership.

As of February 2023, the MFA is allowing scheduled group trips again. Please check on current policies before planning a class trip.

 

Harvard Art Museums, Cambridge

As of summer 2023, the Harvard Art Museums are free to all visitors. Advance registration is available but not required.
