Amherst Captures Second Annual Wellesley Invitational
Wellesley Places Second
Wellesley, Mass. – Katie Gravel shot a tournament-low
89 to lead Amherst to a first-place finish at the Wellesley College
Golf Invitational, Saturday at Nehoiden Golf Course.
Amherst finished first with a 370, while Wellesley finished six
strokes off the lead with a 376. First-year Darene Matsuoka (Honolulu,
Hawaii/Honolulu) finished second overall and five strokes of the
lead with an 84 to pace Wellesley while Susan Choi (Valley Stream,
N.Y./Valley Stream Central) finished third with a 90.
