WELLESLEY PLACES 18th AT DARTMOUTH INVITATIONAL
HANOVER, N.H. – Wellesley’s
Susan Choi (Valley Stream, N.Y.) shot an opening round 80 and followed
with a second round 77 to place third individually at the Dartmouth
Invitational this weekend at the Hanover Country Club, a 6,500 yard
par-71 course.
Wellesley placed 18th out of 20 competing schools with a team score
of 724 shooting an identical 362 each day of competition. Yale won
the tournament with a team score of 629 and was led by individual
medalist Cindy Shin who shot a tournament-best 154 (79-75). St.
John's placed second at 647 and Harvard finished third with 650.
Wellesley golf returns to the links September 25-26 at the Mount
Holyoke Invitational. Last season Wellesley placed third out of
16 teams with a score of 351.
