WHAT A TYPICAL DAY IS LIKE

If you are interested in becoming a student athletic training aide and succesfully complete the interview process, there are a variety of different things going on depending on what day you are working.

  • Pre-practice duties include preparation of water and ice, assisting with the stretching, taping and first aid needs of the varsity athletic teams.

  • On competition days, a SATA may assist the certified athletic trainer with home game coverage.

  • Athletic training aides can gain valuable hands-on experience in the sports medicine area, as well as a sense of pride and accomplishment knowing they have been an important contributor to the success of the Wellesley College athletic program.
