Visitor's Guide

On behalf of the Wellesley College Sports Medicine Department, we would like to personally welcome you and your team to our campus. Our goal is to provide you with any information, assistance, and support that you may need during your visit. If you have any questions or special needs, please do not hesitate to contact us in advance.

A certified athletic trainer will be present at all home contests with an athletic training aide to assist as needed. When multiple events are scheduled on campus, the athletic trainers will be present at the events where there is the highest risk of injury. Student athletic training aides may be present at the lower risk sports (golf, tennis), and will have direct contact with an AT at all times via radio and telephone.

The Keohane Sports Center
(adjacent to the Towne Field House) is our primary facility for all sports. The athletic training room is located in room B30 and is equipped with treatment tables, taping tables, therapeutic modalities, whirlpools, rehab equipment, hydrocollator, and ice machine. If your team will be traveling without an AT, we will limit those teams to ice, heat, tapings/wrappings due to the large volume of athletes on competition days. In most cases, the ATR will be open 2 hours prior to the start of a contest. If your team is traveling without an AT, please notify us ahead of time with any special asssistance that you may need. We will be happy to assist your student-athletes provided that a fully stocked medical kit is sent with your team.

In the event of an emergency or injury, we will provide crutches, immobilizers, and vacuum splints. An AED is also available through the athletic training department and the Campus Police. At games, your team will be provided with water, ice, cups, ice bags. We do not provide towels or laundry service for visiting teams.

Best wishes for a healthy season,
