Hello Lacrosse Alumnae,
The school year is in full swing and we are excited to begin our “non-traditional” fall season. This year we welcome new Assistant Coach, Kelsey MacDonald, to the team. Kelsey was a stand-out player at Plymouth State and also spent a year coaching at her Alma Matter. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the coaching staff.
The fall season is a perfect opportunity for us to work on individual skill development, small game concepts and conditioning. Our numbers are a lot smaller in the fall compared to the spring because we have so many two-sport athletes! I am proud to report that we have three soccer players and three field hockey players who are representing the Blue this fall. We also have three juniors who are taking advantage of the great study abroad opportunity Wellesley offers. Katie Bourque, Caitlin Meeker and Haley Geller will be in Scotland, Greece, and Turks and Caicos respectively.
The highlight of the fall may be our
ALUMNAE GAME which is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 4th of Homecoming Weekend. We have had great alumnae contests over the past few years and we want to continue this wonderful tradition. Participating in the alumnae game, and returning for Homecoming Weekend, is a fantastic way to connect with old teammates and also meet our current team. If you are interested in playing in the 2008 Alumnae Lacrosse Game please email me by September 26.
Have a great fall!
