Wellesley Crew Ranked 13th Nationally in Division III
WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College crew team earned a spot on the College Rowing Coaches Association's (CRCA) national rankings released on April 2, 2008.
The Blue are currently ranked 13th in the country in Division III and are one of four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) teams to earn a spot on the list. Wellesley earned their first ranking of the season after a strong race on Sunday against 9th-ranked Tufts University.
The US Coast Guard Academy, who's qualified for four of the last five NCAA Championships, is the top NEWMAC school, ranking fifth overall. Smith College and Mount Holyoke College own the seventh and eighth spots in the poll.
The Blue will return to the water on Sunday, April 6th at Lake Quinsigamond. Wellesley will race boats from NEWMAC rivals WPI and Mount Holyoke
