Shanley Named NEWMAC Runner of the Week
WELLESLEY, MA – Wellesley College senior cross country runner Kerry Shanley (Marshfield, MA) was named the New England Women’s and 
Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner of the Week for the period ending October 21, 2007.
Shanley led Wellesley to a team win in Saturday’s Wellesley Invitational by taking first place in a time of 19:30 on the Wellesley lake course. The win was the first collegiate cross country win for the senior captain who bested 42 runners to take the title.
The weekly award is the second of the season for Shanley, who previously won the award on September 30th after a third-place finish at the Pop Crowell Invitational.
Wellesley Cross Country will next compete at the NEWMAC Championships at Smith College on Saturday October 27 at 11:00.
