Wellesley Golf Competes at Mount Holyoke
Day One Results
SOUTH HADLEY, MA – The Wellesley College Golf team competed on day one of the 34rd annual Mount Holyoke College Invitational. A total of 15 teams and 81 individuals are participating in the tournament, which is being hosted by The Orchards Golf Club (par 72 – 5,880 yards).
Wellesley was led by first-year Cassandra Tavolarella (Vero Beach, FL) and junior Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) in the first round. Tavolarella shot an 82 in her first collegiate tournament, good for 15th place overall. Eaton finished with an 83, for 18th place going into tomorrow's action.
Also for Wellesley,
senior Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) recorded a 92, sophomore Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) shot a 93 and first-year Michelle Cho (La Crescenta, CA) finished with a 96.
The Blue are currently tied for eighth place with a day one total of 350.
The tournament will wrap up tomorrow morning beginning at 9:00am.
