2008 Recap: Softball finished the regular season 30-11-1, including a 2-1 win over defending national champion Linfield College earlier this spring. The Blue were runners-up in NEWMAC tournament and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they finished 3-2 in the New England Regional, with wins over Lesley, Bridgewater State, and Rivier. In only its fourth year as a varsity program, Wellesley Softball set a school record of 30 wins, were ranked as high as 2nd in the region, and finished the regular season ranked 22nd in the nation in Division III. The Blue earned four All-Conference selections in Jenna Harvey, Kara Wong, Megan Wood and Amanda Tai, with Harvey being named both the NEWMAC Pitcher and Player of the Year. Wellesley also landed four Regional All-Americans with Harvey and Wood earning first-team honors and Wong and Tai earning third team honors.
