2008 Fall Recap: The Wellesley tennis team finished their fall season with a 9-2 overall record and a 7-0 record in the NEWMAC. The team posted shutouts versus Smith and Clark, and lost a close 5-4 decision to reigning NCAA Division III Champion Williams College. The team finished the fall season with a NEWMAC championship and a bid into the NCAA tournament in the spring. Wellesley garnered multiple All-Conference honors, including first team doubles for Marie Watanbe and Grace Cheng, Shivani Saxena and Jacquline Shen, first team singles for Shivani Saxena, Nathalie Herman, and Grace Cheng, second team singles for Marie Watanabe and Mohona Siddique. Watanabe was also honored as the NEWMAC Rookie of the Year.
