Walther and Shen Named NEWMAC Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
WELLESLEY, MA – The Wellesley College doubles team of
Hali Walther (Navarre, FL) and
Jacqueline Shen (Calgary, Alberta, CA) was named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Doubles Team of the Week for the period ending September 23, 2007.
Walther and Shen led the
Blue last week with a win over Wheaton and two wins in the ITA New England
Regional Tournament. Against Wheaton, the pair did not lose a game in an
8-0 win over the team of Knies and Milic-Strkalj.
This weekend, in the ITA Regional,
Walther and Shen won their first two matches before falling to
Williams’ Baljon and Gibson.
Wellesley is back in action this Friday when the Blue host Bowdoin at 4:00pm for a non-conference match.
