Wellesley Volleyball Lands Two on All-Region Roster

WELLESLEY, MA – Two Wellesley volleyball players were named today to the 2007 AVCA All-Region Team for NewEngland.  Emily Peters (Larkspur, Calif.) and Tracy Waldman (Seattle, Wash.) each make their first appearance on the All-Region squad.

Waldman, a senior middle blocker, recorded 247 kills for an average of 2.57 per game.  She also finished with a .332 attack percentage and 101 blocks.

Peters, a junior libero, led the team with 584 digs, and posted 59 serving aces.  Both players were also named to the 2007 All-Conference Team.

The Blue finished with a 28-7 record and advanced to the NCAA Regional Semifinal, where they were edged by top seed MIT in five games.
