Fourth season as the top assistant for the Wellesley College softball program; entering second year as the director of strength and conditioning.

Lacy Gillotti enters her fourth season as the top assistant for the Wellesley College softball program. She also enters her second year as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Wellesley. Last spring she served as the Assistant Site Representative for the 2011 NCAA Division III Softball Regional at Rhode Island College.

As a coach, Lacy strives to motivate student-athletes to push past their perceived limits and excel in all they do. She approaches softball and strength & conditioning from a wholistic standpoint, incorporating physical skill sets and positive mind sets while try to pass along many of the valuable life lessons she's have learn through athletics. She says, " College athletics have been a constant driving force in my life. I find playing a role in student-athlete development truly rewarding."

With the softball team, Gillotti assists in the development of practice curriculum, the planning of clinics/fundraising events and aids the recruiting process of prospective student-athletes.  She
conducts strength and conditioning programming, as well as manages defensive strategies and offensive technique.

She comes to Wellesley from her position as the first assistant softball coach at Western New England College. Gillotti has also served as a private softball instructor at Extra Innings in Agawam, MA and has experience coaching youth teams and the junior varsity team at Springfield College. She previously served as a graduate intern in the Fitchburg State Athletic Department before coaching at Western New England College.

Gillotti's strength and conditioning experience extends back to 2004 where she was the Strength Coach for the National Professional Fastpitch New England Riptide for 3 seasons. She has a broad range of experience training youth, general population, and elite athletes. In addition to her work with Wellesley College athletes; she most recently spent time working with some of the most knowledgeable strength coaches in the country at Mike Boyle's Strength and Conditioning facility.

As a student-athlete at Fitchburg State, Gillotti was named the 2005 Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year.  She was a four-year member of the varsity softball team where she was named captain in her junior and senior years. Gillotti also received the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges award for 2004-2005.

Gillotti is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  She is also a professional rescuer and is CPR, AED and First Aid certified.

Lacy enjoys spending my free time with her family - doing any type of outside activity her dog, Tobin, can be involved in.
