Giving your body the exercise it needs is an important part of succeeding at Wellesley and leading a happy and healthy life.

Now, it pays to be fit. The Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) Student Advisory Committee has established the PERA Fitness Initiative Tracker ("FIT") Card Program to increase student participation in physical activities and promote healthy, balanced lifestyles. Your FIT account allows you to track your exercise progress and make sure you are giving your body the exercise it needs to help you excel at Wellesley. You will also be part of friendly competition to see which graduating class is the fittest.

At the end of the academic year, all students who participate will be invited to the FIT tracker fitness celebration and will be entered in a raffle for great prizes. The more points you accumulate, the greater your chances of winning!

How does it work?

Getting your heart rate up doesn't have to mean getting on the treadmill. Here are some other activities you might enjoy:

  1. Take a walk around Lake Waban.
  2. Show your Blue Pride at a varsity or club sport competition.
  3. Audit a PE class.
  4. Go on an Outdoor Adventures trip.
  5. Sign up for an intramural.

Be creative. Just get your heart rate up for 30 minutes to be FIT!
