Graduate and Professional School
Eighty percent of Wellesley students go on to graduate or professional school within 10 years of graduation, often to top-ranked programs and with full funding.
There are many reasons to attend a graduate program: It is required in some professions and advantageous for career advancement in others.
In deciding whether graduate school is the right choice for you, the best place to start is by talking with your faculty advisor. He or she can advise you about your academic strengths, the program that’s right for you, and the eventual career options specific to your degree.
The CWS can help, too. We’ve put together a wealth of information about graduate schools and how to create a strong application.
First, look over the comprehensive information we’ve gathered about programs in various fields of interest:
Then, if you decide to apply, read about:
- the role of the essay
- asking for letters of reference
- applying for graduate fellowships and scholarships
- financing your education
The CWS is a lifelong resource for alumnae. So whether you are a student or an alumna, we are happy to talk with you about your career interests. Make an appointment with one of our counselors through MyCWS.
