Management Basics stresses an interactive approach--teaching methodologies include lectures, discussions, case studies, and practical exercises such as business simulation exercises and management role playing. Students will be exposed to the interdependencies of each functional area in managing organizations in the global economy.

Management Basics will be held during the Wellesley College Wintersession, January 4-25, 2010. Most classes will be conducted between 9-11:30 am and 1-3 pm, Monday-Friday. There will be no classes on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 18, 2010.

Students will be given reading and case preparation work to be completed prior to the beginning of the program. Readings, case preparation, and group exercises will be assigned during the program and must be completed each day after class.
