Foundation Grants and Fellowships
For study or research in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Grants, fellowships, and awards given to promote and strengthen American and Scandanavian cultural ties. - Marshall Fellowships
Offers two years of study in any discipline at selected British universities at the undergraduate or graduate level to U.S. citizens who have graduated from an undergraduate institution no earlier than two years before the May 1 preceding the application date (this restriction may be waived in the case of those wishing to read business studies or an allied subject) . - Fulbright and other IIE-Sponsored Grants Fulbright covers one year of study at an academic institution in selected countries or English teaching assistantships in Argentina, Austria, Belgium/Luxembourg, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Korea, Romania, Slovak Republic, Taiwan, or Turkey.

M. Goldwater Scholarship
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide a continuing source awarding scholarships to college students who intend to pursue careers in these fields. Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board, up to a maximum of $7,500 annually. - Howard Hughes Medical Institute Pre-doctoral Fellowships in Biological Sciences To support students for up to five years while they pursue full-time study toward a Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree in biochemistry, biophysics, biostatistics, cell biology, developmental biology, epidemiology, genetics, immunology, mathematical biology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology, structural biology, or virology.

K. Javits Fellowship Program
Fellowships are offered to individuals who at the time of application have not yet completed their first full year of doctoral or MFA study or are entering graduate school for the first time in the next academic year. Applicants must be eligible to be accepted to or currently attending a graduate program leading to a doctorate or Master of Fine Arts in an approved field of study in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. - Luce Scholars Program
Provides a ten-month internship to young leaders established in their career fields who have not extensively studied Asian affairs (restricted to U.S. citizens under age 30) to live and work in Asia. - James Madison Junior Fellowships
To encourage future and current high school teachers of American history, American government, and social studies to undertake graduate study of the United States Constitution. Provides a maximum of $24,000 to support full-time study toward an M.A. degree. - Mellon

To support exceptionally promising students preparing for careers in teaching and research in humanistic studies in America's colleges and universities. - The George J. Mitchell Scholarship
Offers U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 one year of study at an institution of higher learning in Ireland or Northern Ireland. There are no restrictions as to academic field of study. - National Science Foundation Fellowships
Fellowships cover a wide variety of disciplines and are awarded for three years. US citizens or permanent residents only may apply. Applications can be downloaded from the website. - The National Security Education Program
Boren Fellowships support students pursuing the study of languages, cultures, and world regions that are critical to U.S. national security but are less frequently studied by U.S. graduate students, i.e., areas of the world other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. - Rhodes Scholars Program
Offer U.S. citizens 18 through 23 two or possibly three years of study at Oxford University at the undergraduate or graduate level. Citizens from certain additional countries are eligible to apply through their own country. - Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships
Scholarships provide funding for academic study in a foreign country for six months to two years. Available for graduate study abroad at a university in any country in which there is a Rotary Club. Application takes approximately 18 months; plan accordingly. - Scholarships Resource Network Express
Scholarship Resource Network Express contains a database of over 8,000 programs with a distribution level of over 150,000 awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This database also includes student loan forgiveness programs for those who have graduated from college and need alternatives for repayment. - Harry S. Truman Scholarship
The Truman Scholarship Foundation was established by Congress in 1975 to recognize and support students who want to pursue careers in public service or in goverment. Its activities are supported by a special trust fund in the US Treasury. - Thomas J. Watson Fellowships
A one-year grant for independent study and travel outside the United States offered to graduating seniors. Open to all nationalities. - Morris K. Udall Scholarship
In tribute to the leadership, courage, and vision of Congressman Morris Udall, the Morris K. Udall Foundation each year awards 80 undergraduate scholarships of up to $5,000 in fields related to the environment, and to Native American and Alaska Natives in fields related to health care or tribal policy. - Wellesley

Graduate Fellowship in Chung Chi College, Hong Kong
Sponsors a fellowship to teach or assist in teaching English at Chung Chi College. This one-year fellowship is generally offered on an annual basis to a Wellesley College senior or alumna with the option to extend for a second year. - Wellesley-Yenching Teaching Fellowship at Ginling College in Nanjing, China Sponsors a fellowship to teach or assist in teaching English at Ginling College. Fellowship covers travel and living expenses.

One-year, full-time position at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. Travel expenses are covered, and Wellesley and the Museum both provide a stipend to cover living expenses.
