The Follow-Up Letter
If some time has elapsed since you last heard from a potential employer, consider writing a follow-up letter to express your continued interest in the company and in the position. Remind the prospective employer of your qualifications, and inquire about the status of the search. Discuss ideas you have developed since your interview, and approaches you might take if you were offered the position.
