Wellesley College Internship Program and Stipend Fund

The Center for Work and Service helps students further their professional aspirations by identifying internship opportunities, and by funding students’ self-initiated internships.

Each year, the CWS places students in over 40 Identified Internships world-wide. These paid opportunities are offered in partnership with organizations addressing a range of scientific, business, and social issues. Students submit applications to the CWS and are selected by Wellesley faculty committees.

CWS Summer Stipends support students who find internships on their own. Students apply to work at multiple organizations of their choosing, and request funding for the internship they ultimately accept. Members of the College faculty review the funding applications and select the winning proposals.

Some academic departments also provide internship opportunities and/or stipends for Wellesley students. Below is a list of the College-organized opportunities known to the CWS.

There are many ways to find and procure a rewarding summer internship. Please consider this list as a starting point. We invite you to visit our office and discuss which of these--or the myriad outside options—is right for you.

The following list of opportunities is based on placements offered in 2009. Some internships may not be available in 2010. Please check back for updates.
