2006-2007 Recruiting Timeline
September
- Attend a Recruiting Meeting.
- Register or update account on monsterTRAK prior
to the recruiting meeting. After attending the recruiting meeting,
make sure your InterviewTrak (in monsterTrak) link works. If not, e-mail cws_hire@wellesley.edu for access.
- Prepare your InterviewTrak documents.
- Confirm SAT, ACT scores with the registrar or ETS.
- Select a writing sample of 3-5 pages. Ask a writing tutor or friend to proofread.
- Make sure your transcript is available online by clearing any balance with the bursar.
- Attend a CWS Resume Writing workshop. Have your resume checked and approved by a CWS counselor or Peer Resource Advisor.
- Check for help on writing a cover letter.
- Research companies and attend informational meetings. Bookmark the CWS calendar.
Recommended
- Put the “Ctr. for Work & Service” FirstClass Conference on your desktop. Check the "cws-recruiting-tips" subconference periodically for updates.
- Note the resume submission deadline and employers' decision
due dates in your calendar/planner diary.

- Upload resume, transcript, writing samples, cover letters and all other application materials on monsterTRAK. Do not wait until the resume submission deadline. Check technical help schedule on cws-recruiting-tips.
- Apply to Session I companies.
- Sign up for and interview with Session I companies. Note: Some employers notify students if they have been preselected for an interview, others do not. It is your responsibility to check to see if you have been preselected for an interview.

- Attend an Interview Skills workshop.

- Narrow down Session II companies to which you want to apply.
December
- Apply to Session II companies.
- Research Session III and IV companies.
January
- Sign up for Session II companies.
- Narrow down Session III companies to which you want to apply.
February
- Apply to Session III companies.
- Interview with Session II companies.
- Sign up for interviews with Session III companies.
March
- Apply to Session IV companies.
- Interview with Session III companies.
- Sign up for interviews with Session IV companies.
April
- Interview with Session IV companies.
- Start looking for an apartment in "cws-apartment-finders" FirstClass conference.
- Fill out employment/post graduation survey.
May
- Make sure you have completed the employment/post graduation survey.
- Congratulations! You made it through Recruiting 2006-2007. Graduate!
