Edward Cho

I began teaching as a graduate student, and I continue to enjoy this vocation today as much, if not more, than I did then. My teaching objective is to give students the necessary tools not only to think analytically about economic issues, but also to use these principles in their everyday lives. I also encourage student interaction and participation, and I am looking forward to the close knit teaching environment at Wellesley.

I will be teaching Financial Markets, Principles of Microeconomics, and Principles of Macroeconomics. The introductory micro and macro courses provide a rich opportunity to use real-world examples and current events in order to reinforce economic intuition. Financial Markets will include the stock and bond markets, as well as the institutions that facilitate them. Recent events like the 2008 financial crisis and the sovereign debt crisis facing parts of Europe today will also be discussed.

In my spare time I like to exercise, read novels, snowboard, and take the occasional daytrip in and around Boston.
