Robert Bullard is most known for his influential role in the environmental justice movement and for his campaigns against environmental racism. Indeed, Dr. Bullard has often been referred to as the "father of environmental justice." Dr. Bullard will be speaking about the instances when minority groups are often dealt the unjust burdens of environmental degradation and unsustainable practices. This topic is gaining more prevalence in discussions today and it has close ties with many larger issues such as climate change and environmental policy. This will be an hour-long talk sponsored by Wellesley Environment and Energy Defense (WEED), with time for questions and student feedback.  Lunch will be provided.
