Are You Real?: Celebrating the Music of Benny Golson

Wellesley's dynamic Jazz-World Music faculty presents Are You Real: Celebrating the Music of Benny Golson, meant to preface Golson's performance at Wellesley on March 14. Renowned jazz artist Benny Golson's compositions hold an honored place in the jazz canon, and include classics such as "Whisper Not", "Stablemates" and "I Remember Clifford." The evening's performance will feature original arrangements of Golson standards, showcasing the creativity and breadth of Wellesley Jazz-World Music Faculty. 

The concert will feature: Kris Adams, voice; David Harris, trombone; Mark Henry, bass; Greg Hopkins, trumpet; Doug Johnson, piano; Stephen Kirby, guitar; Steve Langone, drums; Lance Martin, flute; Cercie Miller, saxophones; Kera Washington, percussion and voice and Paula Zeitlin, violin.
