Liuwe Tamminga, Fisk Organ and Bruce Dickey, cornetto
Bruce Dickey is considered the greatest cornetto virtuoso in the world. This fall he joins forces with Liuwe Tamminga for a tour around the U.S. Liuwe Tamminga is a celebrated Italian organist whose performance of Renaissance and Baroque music have earned him the praise of critics and garnered numerous awards. He currently serves as the organist at St. Petronio in Bologna.
Tamminga and Dickey will be touring in October of 2014, including appearances at Oberlin, Cleveland, Yale, and Eastman. The performance at Wellesley on the historic Fisk Organ will include repertoire for organ and cornetto, and organ solo works, featuring Italian Renaissance and early baroque music.
