The following databases provide either full-text articles or citations (information about when and where the article was published).

  • Once you have a citation for an article, use the Find It! @ Wellesleylink from each citation to reach the electronic source, or to search for the electronic or print source through the Wellesley College Library Catalog.
  • Use the name of the journal as the title and make sure you look at the dates covered carefully!
  • If Wellesley does not own the article, use the We'll Get It For You link to NExpress or Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Web of Science - Peer-reviewed articles in the physical, life, and social science journals; interdisciplinary database. 1900-present.

  • Can also search for articles that cite known journal articles or books (citation searching).

PubMed - Articles in journals; almost all are peer-reviewed (= scholarly, refereed). 1949-present. PubMed Basics. (Use the WelC Library portal to see the FindIt at Wellesleylink in PubMed's 'Abstract' display of the record.)
