Trace citations forward

Trace a seminal author and/or a specific citation forward in time. For example, learn more about specific Rett Syndrome studies on rodents, or about factors that affect neurogenesis in certain crustaceans.

  • Perform a 'Cited Reference Search' in the Web of Science for citations from 1900 (or from the time of the original citation) to the present.
  • Follow the link, 'Times Cited in This Database,' to newer records that cite your starting reference, in the PsycINFO database from the late 1980's forward. To learn more, click here.
  • Run a citation search in Google Scholar.
  • Use the 'Get Related' button for citation searching in SciFinder Scholar from the 1990's onward.

If you would like to work with a Science Librarian as you start to perform citation searches, please contact Neil Nero.
