MLA International Bibliography is a database with information on articles in literature, linguistics, film, and folklore. The citations date from 1963 on.

National Journal is a weekly publication featuring articles on politics, policy, and government (1977+).

New York Times Online is a ProQuest historical product with exact replicas of the newspaper, in PDF format & graphics (1851-2001).

Periodicals Index Online (formerly Periodicals Contents Index/PCI) is an index to articles published in over 4,500 periodicals, in as many as 40 languages, and covering topics in the humanities and social sciences.

Project Muse is a full-text database with academic journals in the social sciences and the humanities. Titles such as the Human Rights Quarterly, Journal of Democracy, SAIS Review, & World Politics are especially good sources for topics dealing with Russia and international relations (latest 5 yrs.).

Literature

Fundamental Digital Library: Russian Literature and Folklore (FEB-web) has both English and Russian versions of Tolstoy, Pushkin, and Alexander Griboyedov so far, as well as ancient literary works. There are, also, several encyclopedias for philological research. It has been noted by academics for its thoroughness and accuracy.
