PAIS - Public Affairs Information Services via FirstSearch. Database of articles, books, conference proceedings, government documents, book chapters, and statistical directories about public affairs from 1915-present.

Periodicals Index Online - Index to articles published in 4,698 periodicals in the humanities & social sciences in 40 languages. Indexing goes back to the first issue of the journal, some titles go back over 200 years.

PubMed - Articles in all fields of medicine and biomedicine, with abstracts and links to additional resources from the National Library of Medicine, 1950 to present

Project Muse - Academic journals in the humanities & social sciences, from the past five years - see JSTOR for prior years

SocINDEX with Full Text (replaces Sociological Abstracts) - Index to articles on all aspects of sociology and other social science articles, with full text from 400 core sociology journals

Web of Science is very useful in performing interdisciplinary subject searches. This database searches the Social Science Citation Index and Science Citation Index Expanded from 1965+.

Women's Studies International - Indexes journal articles and books on women's studies, feminism, and gender studies, 1972 to present

WWWomen calls itself "The Premier Search Directory for Women Online." Selective directory of female-oriented web links.

Women's Studies / Women's Issues Resource Sites is a selective, annotated, highly acclaimed listing of web sites containing resources and information about women's studies / women's issues, with an emphasis on sites of particular use to an academic women's studies program.

U.S. Women's history

American Women's History: A Research Guide provides citations to print and Internet reference sources, as well as to selected large primary source collections.

Women and Social Movements 1600-2000: The "Second Wave" and Beyond hosts a scholarly community devoted to producing knowledge about feminist activism and theories. The site also includes a collection of primary source material (including oral histories and images), bibliographies, and chronologies.
