Library & Technology Services
Director, Research Services
My key responsibilities:
- Direct the research services team (research and instruction librarians and the reserves manager);
- Serve as the research and instruction librarian for Economics, Religion, and East Asian Language and Literatures;
- Coordinate Wellesley's participation in the Federal Depository Library Program;
- Serve as a key member of the Drupal support team, working closely with academic department web sites;
- Serve as the LTS service coordinator for departments in Pendelton East.
Recent library and technology trends which excite me include:
- altmetrics (measuring the impact of scholarship in many forms using non-traditional methods)
- the blurring of lines between librarians and instructional technologists
- increasing real-world productivity using technology tools
I live in Natick with my spouse Amy and our dogs. Outside of work, I play ice hockey and train at Crossfit New England. I tweet a lot (sometimes about libraries and technology) and post photos on Instagram and Flickr.
