LTS - Library Collections
Assistant Director for Discovery Services
What does “Discovery Services” mean? It’s about making library collections accessible through efficient acquisitions and resource sharing (interlibrary loan), organizing the collections through cataloging/metadata creation in adherence to current standards and best practices, and maintenance of e-resource management and library systems. My role is to oversee these services, so that Wellesley College students, faculty, and researchers can search and discover all of the books and media in the library stacks, all of our licensed e-resources, and, through resource sharing, the wealth of materials in library collections beyond Wellesley.
One of my specialized roles is cataloging the Music Library’s CDs, videos, and
scores. I also assist in reference and circulation services at the Music Library,
where I enjoy working with all the smart, dedicated, and talented students who
staff the front desk.
My professional memberships include the American Library Association and the
Music Library Association.
