Digital Collections

The Digital Collections and Preservation Working Group brings Wellesley's unique collections into the digital realm.

Our Mission:
The Digital Collections and Preservation Working Group creates, preserves, and provides access to digital versions of the library's unique holdings in support of the educational mission of the College.

New! Wellesley now belongs to HathiTrust.

Our Institutional Collections:
The Wellesley College Digital Repository: Wellesley College's institutional repository collects, manages, and facilitates access to faculty and student scholarship and materials from Archives and Special Collections.

Wellesley College Archives Image Gallery: a growing collection of historic images of the College. Here are detailed instructions for searching, browsing and downloading from this collection.

The Internet Archive: Since 2008, Wellesley College has been contributing content to the Internet Archive project in collaboration with the Boston Library Consortium. To date, Wellesley has contributed over 2800 out-of-copyright books, music scores, College Archival materials, and other items to this project, whose mission is to provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

The Browning Courtship Correspondence: In February 2012, Wellesley College and Baylor University collaborated to digitize and display the 573 courtship letters between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning. Wellesley College's holdings from Special Collections have joined Baylor University's Armstrong Browning Library holdings to create a unique and valuable digital resource for Browning students and scholars worldwide.
