How to Request:
There are three ways to request a loan for books, DVDs, CDs, etc.:
Borrow materials from Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Middlebury, and Williams Libraries. Most items will be available for pick up at the Clapp Service Desk within 2-3 business days.
WorldCat Local (Boston Library Consortium)
Search and request through this database of library catalogs of worldwide published material. NExpress and Boston Library Consortium partners are listed first to allow the fastest delivery method possible.
ILL (ILLiad) Loan
Fill in a request form if you know exactly what you need. First time users login with domain username and password to complete registration. Delivery ranges from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on how far the item has to travel (materials are requested from libraries worldwide).
Use Article Locator if you have a citation in hand from a bibliography or reading list. Article Locator will help you to find online full-text or to pass the search into a InterLibrary Loan request form.
When you're searching in an A-Z database you can just click on to request through ILL.
Use the ILL Article Form to request the article.
Use the ILL Book Chapter Form to request a scan of a book chapter.
Use the ILL Dissertation Form to request a dissertation loan.
