This consortium of 7 New England libraries (Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Middlebury, Northeastern, Williams) allows in-person borrowing among members. You may borrow many materials from these libraries by presenting your Wellesley OneCard ID while visiting these schools.
As a member of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC), Wellesley College students, faculty, and staff may access and borrow books and other materials from BLC institutions as long as they present an active BLC borrowing card and a Wellesley ID.
The BLC is comprised of 17 academic and research institutions in the greater Boston and New England area including: Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis, MLB/WHOI, MIT, Northeastern, State Library of Mass, Tufts, UMass at Amherst, Dartmouth, Lowell, Worcester and Boston, U of Connecticut, U of New Hampshire, Wellesley, Williams.
Getting a BLC card
Faculty, staff, and students can apply for a BLC card at the Clapp or Science Library Reference desks or ask us for more information.
Finding materials in BLC libraries
The BLC provides online access to most BLC library catalogs.
