McAfee VirusScan for Windows and Mac OS X

McAfee VirusScan was the recommended anti-virus software for Wellesley College.  Library & Technology Services (LTS) had licensed McAfee VirusScan for Windows and Mac OS X for use on all College-owned computers, and on one personal computer for each current faculty, staff, and student at the College.

VirusScan is one of the supported anti-virus applications that the Cisco NAC Agent will accept as valid anti-virus software. Please visit our anti-virus information page to learn more about why anti-virus software is important to have installed and up to date on your computer.

However, the College is now recommending and transitioning to Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection as an Antivirus solution on all College-owned computers.  For more information please click here.
