Student Workshops for Spring 2013

 

 

This Spring, LTS is offering a short series of workshops for students. Others will be scheduled if there is sufficient interest. Please suggest other technology workshop topics which may interest you. All of these workshops will be in the Clapp Computing Classroom and attendance is limited to 12 students, unless otherwise noted.

 

Upcoming Workshops

Photoshop Basics - This workshop will cover the basic tools and interface of Adobe Photoshop CS6. Students will learn the basics of image editing and creating spam for your events.

Powerpoint - This workshop will cover the basics of Microsoft Powerpoint. Students will learn the basics of creating Powerpoint slides, using animated text, and embedding multimedia.

Gmail Tips & Tricks - This workshop will cover the basics of Wellesley Gmail. Students will learn how to manage their email by creating multiple inboxes and using filters.

Prezi - This workshop will cover the basics of Prezi. Students will learn the basics of Prezi’s 3-dimensional canvas, and how to organize, present, and share your ideas.

Google Apps - This workshop will present an overview of Wellesley Google Apps for Education. Students will learn how to manage calendars, drive, groups, and sites.
 
InDesign Basics - In this workshop, students will perform basic editing functions, while becoming familiar with the InDesign user interface, and learn how to create print & digital publications such as brochures & newsletters.
 

Video Production: Final Cut Pro X Intro - This workshop will cover the Final Cut Pro user interface and basic editing functions. Students will learn the program’s user interface and will learn all the basic editing functions needed to take a short project from start to finish.

Photoshop: For Photographers - Learn Photoshop tools and  techniques designed specifically for photography-how to optimize your images for print and presentation. (No experience necessary).

Video Production: The Interview - A hands on workshop for recording professional interviews. Learn how to produce high quality interviews using audio and video techniques for research and documentary work.
