Performer of early music, in repertoire from the Middle Ages to the 19th century; player of rebec, vielle, viola, and gamba.
Performance practise of the 17th and 18th centuries, with an emphasis on French Baroque music, has been my field of study.
I have been a Fulbright Scholar, a Woodrow Wilson Designate, and a fellow of the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe. I have been music director at the American Repertory Theatre and was nominated for an IRNE award for my score to Christopher Marlowe's Dido, Queen of Carthage. I have an extensive discography with groups including The Boston Museum Trio, Boston Baroque, The Boston Early Music Festival, and Aston Magna.
I perform with Boston Baroque, The Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, the Boston Museum Trio, the Handel and Haydn Society, the Carthage Consort, Music from Aston Magna and other early music groups.
