The Wall Street Journal’s Task Force for Women in the Economy—an invited group of influential CEOs , luminaries, and subject-matter experts—convened at the beginning of May to "create a business-based, data-driven action plan to address an important economic issue: making better use of female talent to promote economic growth and competitiveness in the United States and worldwide."

It was the Task Force's second conference, and it built upon the work started last year.

A Wall Street Journal special report recaps some of the discussions and conclusions of the Task Force, and offers quick lists of tips for how corporate leaders can facilitate the inclusion and promotion of women at all levels of the organization.

The Journal also includes an extensive interview with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright '59 on what barriers have been broken, and barriers that remain.
