Wellesley College crew brings home the hardware for the second year in a row, taking third place in the team scoring at the 2012 NCAA Division III Rowing Championships in Mercer County, N.J.

Wellesley combined a fourth place finish in the varsity eight race and a third place finish in the second varsity race, to place third overall in the team standings.

Four seniors flex muscles, wearing academic robes over rowing suitsFour seniors—Conisha Cooper (psychology), Shernaz Dossabhoy (German language & literature), Senta Knuth (political science & economics), and Susan Laves (women’s & gender studies)—relinquished the pleasures of Commencement to compete at Nationals.

Randelle Boots, racingMeanwhile, junior Randelle Boots was competing at NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Claremont, Calif. She came in fifth in the 1,500 meter race with a time of 4:28.86. She also earned her third All-America honors for the academic year.
