Alumna's Photos Shortlisted in Google Photography Contest

Chloe Fan '09 Earned Honors in International Photo Contest

Chloe Fan '09 was a named a finalist in the Google Photography Prize, a contest for student photographers from all over the world. According to the Google website, submissions came from 20,000 students across 146 countries.

Student photographers submitted photographs in one of 10 categories relating to student life. The Google+ team chose categories that are "interesting creatively and shared frequently on the web." Fan called her photos "a different take on the Point of View category." View a gallery of Fan's photos on Google+.

Images were reviewed by a world-class panel of seven judges from international photography community and 100 finalists were named. View all of the winners and finalists.

Fan, a media arts and sciences and psychology major, has a master's degree in human computer interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. She is interning at Google this summer and explorng career options around design and development.
