In selecting candidates for admission, the Board considers a number of factors, including:

• Secondary school transcript
• Letters of Recommendation (two from teachers and one from a guidance counselor)
• Admissions test scores (SAT I and two SAT II's, or the ACT with Writing)
• Essay
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
• Extracurricular Activities/Volunteer Work/Work Experience
• Personal Characteristics/Personal Qualities
• Leadership
• Class Rank
• Special or Unusual Talent
• Alumnae Relation
• Staff or Alumnae Interview
• Recommended distribution of courses taken in High School:
  • 4 units of English
  • 4 units of Mathematics
  • 3 units of Science (2 of Lab Science)
  • 4 units of Foreign Language
  • 4 units of Social Studies/History
