University of Manchester
The University of Manchester is a mini-metropolis of a university that holds nothing back.
The university has one of the largest academic offerings of any single-site institution with choices ranging from fine arts and design to computer engineering. The academic breadth is combined with unparalleled facilities and a vibrant student life. Courses are available across the university’s 70 departments and disciplines and students may even have the chance to study under one of the University’s many Nobel Prize winners.
The large university campus absorbs and blends into the surrounding city of Manchester, making for a dynamic unversity/city relationship. Manchester has been and continues to be the proving ground for many popular musicians, which has led to a contemporary music and club scene that is second to none. Manchester is also not far from areas of natural beauty, which can be easily reached by train. Excellent opportunities for community service in the Manchester community.
