This department offers funding to support the development of a new departmental course, including first-year seminars and labs, or to revise an existing departmental course. Experimental Course Grants support development of courses with innovative subject matter and/or pedagogy, which fall outside of departmental offerings, but may support interdisciplinary programs or represent emerging areas of study.
The Office of Sponsored Research supports faculty members in all disciplines by providing information about appropriate sources of external grant and fellowship support for their research and by working with them to prepare grant proposals and budgets. In addition, the director serves as a liaison to faculty on responsibilities relating to grant administration and compliance with regulations concerning expenditure of federal funds.
