Protestant Community

Protestant Community
Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m.
Houghton Chapel, Upstairs
Are the questions you're asking getting out ahead of the answers you were given? Does it seem increasingly like real faith comes not out of certainty, but out of doubt? Are you looking for a places where you can be honest about questions and doubt - and about your faith?
The Protestant Community is a chaplaincy in the Protestant tradition, weaving together the strands of our mainline stories with the style and openness of the emerging church. We are informal, meditative, conversational, and prayerful. We have no barrier to entry, no expected doctrine, and no requirements for membership - other than "to seek and serve God in all people, loving your neighbor as yourself."
All are welcome to our Wednesday gathering. A short liturgy of prayer, scripture, and reflection is accompanied by a meditation offered by the chaplain or a member of the group. Activities include a weekend prayer retreat, opportunities for community service, and outings to Boston area churches.
